OneNote 2007 Essentials Course: Introduction
If in doubt – store it in OneNote. This program can be used to plan trips, plan meetings, save notes from just about any interaction you need to save a note from. Need to store a phone number quickly? OneNote can store it. Need to store a large amount of material from the internet? OneNote can store it. It can also store the itinerary for a business trip, right down to your room number. Useful? Much.
OneNote 2007 Essentials Course :Course Outline
OneNote is your personal three ring binder application. One can virtually do anything with OneNote including planning an entire business trip from A to B and everything in between. Making notes at a meeting? Stick them in OneNote. Doing research? Save it to OneNote. Because OneNote isnÂ’t intended for publishing, there is no real structure or size limit to a page. The user can make as many notebooks as they want and each notebook has dividers separating different sections in that notebook. Each section can also have multiple pages in it. We welcome participants to our workshop on OneNote 2013 Essentials. This is a very user friendly application and it has applications for all users; from marketing in a large company to an archaeology student on a home computer. As always we present a practical workshop for participants to practice as they learn on computer. We include our pre workshop review form to give the trainer an idea what participants are already familiar with and what they wish to learn more about. Some of our workshop objectives are: Understanding the interface; using text in notebooks; how to use sections, sub-sections, pages and sub-pages; organising notes; inserting objects and using the cutting tool.TIP: OneNote in the cloud: You can store your notebooks in the cloud or on your desktop and you can sync it to all your devices using the OneNote app; including your mobile phone, your iPad and your tablet. OneNote 2013 uses the ribbon interface introduced in 2007 applications. It has a Quick Access toolbar and a Navigation bar. The Notes window allows the user to read or take notes and the Pages bar organises pages. The information in One Note is saved automatically and synced for other devices. OneNote can also save information in a different format, such as PDF. We will spend a module teaching participants to insert text, delete text, add extra writing space and format text. In module four students will learn how to work with pages and sections. They will also learn how to add pages and create sub-pages and learn how to add pages using a template. Participants will be taught to create their own templates to customise their notebooks and sections. Sub-pages can be collapsed or expanded with the parent page. Tags allow the user to associate a keyword or a category with any part of a note. One Note also includes standard tags. You can flag an item in One Note as an Outlook task, by doing this the user is prevented from adding the item again in Outlook. Outlook will then remind the user of the flagged item.
