How to Plan and Prepare for the Facilitation Process:  Module 1 The objective of this module is to introduce the learner to the current skills development platform used in the South African context and also with a view to drawing from historical practices used in this country.  The Planning and Preparation for Facilitation process will next be introduced whereby a learning needs analysis will also be undertaken.  Learners will also be taken through the various stakeholders that are involved in the learning process as well as being instructed around the various review criteria that comply with legislative as well as organizational requirements.  The following aspects are covered in detail:

• How to plan to cater to the needs of learners.
• Skills development trends in the South African landscape.
• Arranging staff and allocating resources.
• How to plan to cater to the needs of all stakeholders.
• Learning material preparation.
• Choosing the most appropriate methodology for a given facilitation process.
• Best practices involved in arranging the learning environment.

What is Required in Facilitating the Learning Process:  Module 2 The aim of this module is to take the training session that you planned in Module 1 and concentrate on the use of learning activities as well as various questioning techniques in making sure that the overall learning environment that you envision is appropriately aligned.  The following topics will be addressed:

• Planning and preparation for the overall evaluation process.
• Data collection, retrieval, and archiving.
• How to analyse and research given sets of data.
• How to conduct a brief SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats)
• How to effectively compile an evaluation report including any necessary remedial action required.
