Frequently asked questions
Can the course use our own policies and code of conduct?
Yes. For in-house groups the facilitator builds the course around your sector and your own policies, code of conduct and procedures, so delegates practise on the documents they use at work.
Who should attend the POPI course?
The people responsible for making sure your organisation complies with the POPI Act. The course covers the Act's requirements, the conditions for lawful processing of personal information, the organisational and technical measures to put in place, and who is responsible for what.
Can you train our team at our offices, or online?
Yes. Every course can be delivered in-house at your premises anywhere in South Africa, at BOTI's venue in Sunningdale, Johannesburg, or online. Per-delegate rates fall as the group grows, so in-house is usually the most cost-effective option for a team.
Do delegates get a certificate?
Yes, a BOTI certificate of attendance. These courses are not accredited. BOTI's accredited qualifications and skills programmes are listed on /qualifications/.
