    Social Intelligence Course (1 day)

Staff who read people and situations accurately, respond with empathy and build working relationships that last.

Technical skill gets people hired; how they deal with people decides how far they go. Colleagues who misread a situation, talk over others or miss the signs that a customer is unhappy create friction that slows everyone down. This one-day social intelligence training builds the people skills behind good working relationships: knowing yourself, reading others and responding in the right way.

The day starts with self-awareness – how you come across and how to get honest feedback. It then works through empathy and active listening, reading behaviour and social cues (verbal, non-verbal and online), body language, conversation skills and building rapport with colleagues and clients. South African workplaces bring together many languages, cultures and generations, so the day also looks at how norms around eye contact, greetings and personal space can differ, and how to adapt without stereotyping anyone.

Short case studies, pair exercises and self-reflection keep the day practical. Delegates leave with a personal action plan for one relationship they want to strengthen.
