Occupational Skills Programme: Team Motivator – SP-250802
Team leaders who lift engagement and performance through clear roles, honest feedback, development plans and coaching – with a QCTO certificate at NQF Level 4.
Motivation is not a speech; it is a set of practices – ground rules, clear roles, honest feedback, development plans and the removal of the barriers that hold a team back. This accredited team motivation course – the Occupational Skills Programme: Team Motivator (SP-250802, NQF Level 4, 13 credits) – equips team leaders and supervisors to apply motivational theory to real teams: assess where a team stands, engage its members, act on their feedback and coach them towards the team's goals.
The QCTO programme document points out that junior managers hold key positions and need support to succeed. Learners work through team dynamics and roles, motivational theories, levels of engagement, communication and constructive feedback, and coaching and mentoring models. They then build an engagement strategy and action plan from a case study, set goals with individual team members and use personal development plans to guide them.
The programme was developed with the Services SETA as Quality Partner and replaces unit standard 242819, Build and motivate a team. It runs over four contact days and ends in a written, scenario-based assessment set, run and moderated by BOTI under QCTO rules.
