Training Advice
Risk Management (Unit Standard 252025) (3 days)
Managers who understand the risks to their unit, rate them by likelihood and impact, and keep tested contingency plans ready for when things go wrong – with 8 accredited credits.
Every unit depends on a handful of critical processes, and most managers only find out how fragile they are when something fails. This accredited risk management course covers unit standard 252025 (NQF Level 5, 8 credits), part of the National Certificate: Generic Management (SAQA ID 59201), which BOTI delivers under its Services SETA accreditation.
Day one builds the foundation: what risk means in accepted theory and practice, the factors that put a unit at risk, and how company policies and procedures shape risk management. Day two is a practical risk assessment of each delegate's own unit: listing risk factors for critical processes, writing risk scenarios, rating likelihood and impact, and setting priorities for action.
Day three turns the assessment into contingency plans that follow company procedures, are communicated to the right stakeholders and are stored where they can be found, and then tests those plans, records what the test showed and revises them.
