Training Advice
Business Report Writing (Unit Standard 110023) (2 days)
Staff who know which reports the organisation needs, where the information comes from, and how to produce accurate, timely reports – with 6 accredited credits to show for it.
Most organisations run on regular reports, yet many are late, incomplete or written without knowing who reads them and why. This accredited report writing course covers unit standard 110023 (NQF Level 4, 6 credits), part of the Further Education and Training Certificate: Business Administration Services (SAQA ID 61595), which BOTI delivers under its Services SETA accreditation.
Delegates start by mapping the reports their own organisation produces: what each one is for, what it must contain, how often it goes out and to whom. They then trace every report back to its information sources and the procedures for obtaining, protecting and returning that information.
On the second day delegates compile real reports from current information using templates they have built, meet deadlines and distribution requirements, and then ask the readers for feedback so that each report can be improved. The course follows the unit standard outcome by outcome, so the learner material, the workplace activities and the assessment all line up.
