Training Advice
Professional Conduct and Ethics (Unit Standards 114959 + 113924) (2 days)
Staff who dress, speak and behave professionally, read and use body language well, handle visitors and difficult situations calmly, and make ethical choices at work – with 6 accredited credits.
First impressions, everyday courtesy and honest choices shape how customers and colleagues see an organisation. This accredited professional conduct course combines two unit standards from the National Certificate: New Venture Creation (SMME) (SAQA ID 49648), each taught and assessed on its own: unit standard 114959 on behaving professionally in a business environment (NQF Level 2, 4 credits) and unit standard 113924 on applying basic business ethics at work (NQF Level 2, 2 credits). Because both belong to the same qualification, BOTI registers them together as one skills programme under its Services SETA accreditation.
Day one follows unit standard 114959: dress codes and workplace behaviour, body language and personal space, greeting and introducing visitors, staying professional under pressure, and assessing your own conduct.
Day two follows unit standard 113924: values and beliefs, how your ethics affect others, behaving ethically at work, and what to do when your values and your work clash.
