Training Advice
Monitoring Team Performance (Unit Standard 252034) (3 days)
Managers who set clear performance standards with their teams, track performance with a system that fits company policy, and run fair, well-prepared review interviews that end in an agreed action plan – with 8 accredited credits.
Performance reviews go wrong when nobody agreed the standards up front, the evidence is thin and the conversation turns into an argument. This accredited performance appraisal course covers unit standard 252034 (NQF Level 5, 8 credits), a core unit standard of the National Certificate: Generic Management (SAQA ID 59201), which BOTI delivers under its Services SETA accreditation.
Day one is about setting up for success: turning the unit's goals into clear, concise standards for each team member, involving the team so that they accept them, and choosing and setting up a monitoring system that fits the organisation's performance policy.
Day two prepares delegates for the review itself: agreeing the arrangements with the team member, assessing performance against the standards, documenting the evidence and planning constructive feedback on both strengths and gaps. On day three delegates conduct review interviews in realistic role plays, record the findings fairly and agree a signed action plan with the employee.
