Code of Conduct and Fraud Awareness (Unit Standards 242815 + 110026) (3 days)

Team leaders and office staff who uphold the organisation's code of conduct, recognise the signs of fraud, know the legal and internal steps when fraud is suspected, and help keep controls working – with 9 accredited credits.

Fraud and misconduct rarely start with a big theft; they start with small lapses that nobody challenges. This accredited fraud awareness training combines two unit standards, each taught and assessed on its own: unit standard 242815 on applying the organisation's code of conduct (NQF Level 4, 5 credits), part of the FETC: Generic Management (SAQA ID 57712), and unit standard 110026 on describing and helping to control fraud in an office (NQF Level 4, 4 credits), part of the FETC: Business Administration Services (SAQA ID 61595). BOTI delivers both under its Services SETA accreditation.

Days one and two follow unit standard 242815: personal ethics and the 'moral compass', how ethics relate to the rights and responsibilities in the Constitution, what the organisation's code of conduct says and why, and how a team leader upholds it, deals with deviations and reports problems outside their own area.

Day three follows unit standard 110026: what fraud is and where it happens, the warning signs, the law and the employer's legal options, the internal steps when fraud is suspected, analysing fraud trends, and the controls that contain it.
