Training Advice
Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) Training (2 days)
Turn business needs into a prioritised product backlog that delivers the most value, sprint after sprint – and earn the SPOC certification.
A Scrum team can deliver quickly, but speed only helps if it builds the right things in the right order. That decision belongs to the Product Owner. This two-day scrum product owner training prepares the people accountable for what gets delivered – product owners, business analysts, sponsors and managers – to turn business needs into a prioritised backlog that returns real value.
The course covers the SCRUMstudy SBOK Guide from the Product Owner's point of view. Day one deals with the role itself, business justification and value, building and prioritising the product backlog with MoSCoW, paired comparison, the 100-point method and Kano analysis, writing and splitting user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and release planning. Day two follows the Product Owner through the sprint: committing stories, accepting or rejecting deliverables at the sprint review, refining the backlog, handling change and measuring success.
Delegates write and split real user stories in a workshop, so they leave with a method they can use on their own backlog. The course ends with the three-hour Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) exam on the afternoon of day two, and the exam voucher is included in the course price.
