AI for HR Professionals (1 day)

HR teams use AI to cut drafting and admin time across the employee lifecycle, while keeping decisions about people fair, human and defensible.

HR carries a double responsibility for AI. The team can save hours on job adverts, screening summaries, interview guides, induction packs and policy drafts – and it is also the function the business looks to when AI use touches candidates' and employees' personal information or raises questions of fairness. This practical AI for HR training covers both: real productivity for HR, and the judgement to keep the human in human resources.

Delegates work through the employee lifecycle with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or the AI features in their HR systems. They draft job adverts and competency criteria from real vacancies, build structured interview guides and scoring rubrics, create induction and learning material, summarise engagement survey comments, and produce first drafts of policies and standard letters for review.

Fairness and compliance run through every exercise: how bias enters AI-assisted screening and how to test for it, unfair discrimination under the Employment Equity Act, POPIA rules for candidate and employee data, and POPIA's limits on decisions made solely by automated processing. All legal content is general guidance, not legal advice. Delegates leave with a reusable HR prompt library and clear human review points for each process.

    Frequently asked questions

Can we use AI to screen CVs?

    How many people can attend?

From one delegate to groups of 20. The price per delegate drops as the group grows – see the price table, or ask us for a quote.

    Is it accredited?

No – it is a non-accredited short course, and delegates receive a BOTI certificate of attendance.

Can the exercises use our own vacancies and policies?
