The question is whether people get dependable, business-ready output from it, or type one-line requests and spend an hour fixing what comes back – sometimes after pasting in client information that should never have left the building. This hands-on ChatGPT for business training gives staff a structured way of working with the tool for the writing, summarising, research and analysis they do every day.
Delegates start with how ChatGPT works and what the free, paid and business plans mean for features and data. They then practise on real tasks: client emails, memos and proposals in their own tone; uploading reports, contracts and threads and pulling out decisions and actions; comparing quotes or survey responses in a table; analysing a small spreadsheet; and researching with web search while checking the sources. They set up custom instructions, projects and reusable templates, and see how a simple custom GPT can handle a recurring team task.
Safe use runs through every exercise: where ChatGPT invents facts and references, a fact-check routine before output reaches a client, and the confidential and POPIA-sensitive information that must stay out of every prompt.

Delegates practise on laptops with internet access and a ChatGPT account (free, paid or your organisation's business account); laptops can be supplied on request. Workbook and a starter set of prompt templates included. No. The free version covers most exercises. Some features, such as building custom GPTs, need a paid or business plan; where delegates are on the free version, the facilitator demonstrates those parts.

How many people can attend?
