Emotional Intelligence at Work (Unit Standard 252031) (2 days)
Managers and team members who understand emotional intelligence, use it in their working relationships, see its effect on teams and results, and leave with a plan to strengthen their own – with 4 accredited credits.
Technical skill gets people hired; emotional intelligence decides how well they lead, serve and work with others. This accredited emotional intelligence course covers unit standard 252031 on using emotional intelligence to manage yourself and others (NQF Level 5, 4 credits). BOTI holds its own Services SETA programme approval for this unit standard, so it is registered on its own as a skills programme.
Day one covers what emotional intelligence is and is not, the main models and competencies, how it shows up in working relationships, and practice in recognising and naming emotions at work.
Day two looks at the impact of high and low emotional intelligence on teams and results, analyses your own reactions to real situations, and ends with role plays from your workplace and a personal development plan.
