Fraud Awareness and Records Control (Unit Standards 110026 + 110009) (3 days)

Office staff and administrators who recognise fraud, know the law that applies, help investigate and contain it, and control confidential records and stationery so that fewer opportunities arise – with 8 accredited credits.

Fraud often starts with weak controls over everyday office records and supplies. This accredited fraud awareness training combines two unit standards from the FETC: Business Administration Services (SAQA ID 61595), each taught and assessed on its own: unit standard 110026 on describing and helping to control fraud in an office (NQF Level 4, 4 credits) and unit standard 110009 on managing administration records (NQF Level 4, 4 credits). Because both belong to the same qualification, BOTI registers them together as one skills programme under its Services SETA accreditation.

Day one follows unit standard 110026: what fraud looks like in an office, the law on fraud, investigating suspected fraud, fraud trends and their impact, and controls that contain it.

Days two and three follow unit standard 110009: handling confidential information, controlling and evaluating office stationery, and putting control measures in place with the people who use them.
