    Learning Support Facilitator – SP-211007 (5 days)

Equip your tutors, teaching assistants and trainers to find out why a learner is struggling and to help them succeed – with a QCTO certificate at NQF Level 5.

Many learners fall behind not because the content is too hard but because nobody has shown them how to learn or noticed what stands in their way. This QCTO-accredited learning support facilitator course – the Occupational Skills Programme: Learning Support Facilitator (SP-211007, NQF Level 5, 20 credits) – trains educators, tutors and trainers to profile learners, identify barriers to learning and apply support methods that improve results.

The programme covers four short knowledge modules – barriers to learning, learning support methods and interventions, techniques for language and learning remediation, and formative assessment – and three practical modules in which learners profile real learners, facilitate learner support and conduct formative assessments. It suits schools, early childhood development centres, TVET and community colleges, universities and workplace training teams.

Learning is hands-on throughout the five contact days. The programme ends in a Final Integrated Supervised Assessment (FISA), set, run and moderated by BOTI under QCTO rules: a written component based on real-life scenarios and a practical in a real or simulated classroom.
