National Certificate: IT End User Computing 61591 – Enrolled Learners Only
Learners already enrolled with BOTI complete their National Certificate: IT End User Computing, with the contact sessions and assessment they need, before the 30 June 2029 deadline.
The National Certificate: Information Technology: End User Computing (SAQA ID 61591, NQF Level 3, 130 credits) is a full end user computing qualification quality assured by the MICT SETA. It builds the computer, communication and numeracy skills that office and administrative work depends on, and its generic, fundamental design makes it easy for learners to move on to other qualifications. The qualification closed to new enrolment on 30 June 2026. This page is for learners who enrolled with BOTI before that date, and for the employers who sponsor them.
The programme runs as 24 contact days spread over 12 months. Learners work through fundamental unit standards in communication and mathematical literacy; core unit standards in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, the internet and ICT concepts; and electives such as advanced spreadsheets and databases, project tools, computer networks and business skills. Each unit standard is assessed against its outcomes, and learners must achieve the full qualification by 30 June 2029.
If you need an accredited route, ask us about BOTI's End User Computing skills programmes (QCTO accreditation pending).
