Training Advice
Professional Presentations Course (2 days)
Business presentations that are well built, clearly delivered and lead to a useful discussion – not a room full of polite silence.
Most workplace presentations are not speeches on a stage. They are a project update to management, a proposal to a client, a briefing to a team or a report-back to a committee – usually with slides, usually followed by questions and debate. This two-day corporate presentation skills training is built for those situations: it shows delegates how to design a business presentation around the audience and then deliver it in a way that keeps people listening and talking.
Day one is about building the presentation: analysing the audience, choosing one key message, organising the content, selecting the right format and preparing slides, flip charts and other aids that support the speaker rather than replace them – with a plan B for when the projector, the connection or the power fails. Day two is about delivery and interaction: managing nerves, using voice and body language, reading the room, encouraging discussion and handling difficult questions, disagreement and deadlock.
Each delegate prepares and delivers a short presentation on a real work topic, receives structured feedback from peers and the facilitator, and learns to give useful feedback on other people's presentations too.
