Executive and Senior Management Programme (3 days)
Executives and senior managers who see the whole system – setting direction, leading change and making decisions that hold up under risk.
At executive level the job changes. Success no longer depends on personal expertise but on the direction you set, the changes you lead and the quality of the decisions you make with incomplete information. This three-day executive management programme gives senior leaders a structured way to do all three, applied to the leadership, change and decision-making challenges they face right now.
Day one is about leading at executive level: the difference between leadership and management, the main leadership theories and what each means for your role, and the qualities your organisation needs from its top team. Day two is about leading change: analysing why change is needed, choosing a change model that fits, and turning it into a recommendation the board and staff can support. Day three brings decisions and risk together: a systems approach to complex problems, engaging stakeholders, choosing feasible solutions, and identifying, assessing and planning for the risks to your area.
The programme is discussion-led and grounded in South African realities – an uncertain economy, power and water supply risks, regulatory change, transformation goals and diverse, multi-generational workforces. Delegates work on a live change initiative or decision from their own organisation and leave with a change recommendation, a decision analysis and a risk register they can use the following week.
