- Employers registered for the Skills Development Levy (SDL) pay 1% of payroll[2]. Of the levy, 20% goes to SETA mandatory grants, 49.5% to discretionary grants, 10% to SETA administration, 0.5% to the QCTO and 20% to the National Skills Fund[3].
- The mandatory grant pays back 20% of levies paid[3].
