Networking Within the Company Training (1 day)

Employees who know who to ask, build working relationships across the organisation and get things done faster.

Most work now crosses team boundaries, yet many employees only know the people in their own section. They wait for answers, duplicate work and miss opportunities because they do not know who can help. This one-day course builds internal networking skills: how to make and keep useful working relationships across teams, departments and sites, inside the company where it matters every day.

Delegates start with what internal networking is and is not, and what gets in the way: personality, pride, confusion about what networking means and cultural barriers in a diverse South African workplace. They learn the principles that make it work – relationships before transactions, listening, offering value first and building trust – and practise meeting new people, following up and letting relationships develop naturally. The afternoon covers recognising formal and informal opportunities, the common mistakes that damage a reputation, using the intranet, Teams-type platforms, LinkedIn and email professionally, and making time to keep a network alive without it taking over the working week.

Role-plays and case studies run through the day, and every delegate leaves with a 90-day networking plan for their own role.
