Cyber Security Awareness Training (1 day)

Staff who spot phishing, scams and risky habits before they cause a breach – and who know exactly what to do when something looks wrong.

Most successful cyber attacks start with a person, not a computer: a convincing phishing email, a fake supplier invoice, a reused password or a lost phone without a lock. South African organisations are regular targets of ransomware, business email compromise and SIM-swap fraud, and under POPIA a security compromise involving personal information must be reported to the Information Regulator and to the people affected. Cyber security awareness training turns every employee into a first line of defence.

This one-day course is written for non-technical staff. It explains how attackers think, the main types of malware and attack, how phishing, identity theft and social engineering work, and the everyday habits that stop them: strong passphrases, multi-factor authentication, care with links and attachments, safe use of phones and social media, and prompt reporting. It closes with the bigger picture – cyber espionage, attacks on infrastructure, how organisations defend themselves and the legal recourse available under the Cybercrimes Act.

Every module uses real examples and short case studies, and delegates practise spotting phishing messages and fake websites. The course can be tailored to your own systems, policies and reporting channels.
