Virtual Team Building and Management Course (1 day)
Managers of remote and hybrid teams leave with ground rules, a meeting rhythm and a communication plan that keep the team productive and connected.
Remote and hybrid teams have the same problems as any team – unclear goals, poor communication, conflict and uneven effort – plus distance, different locations and the temptation to manage by watching who is online. Good virtual team management deals with these deliberately instead of hoping the next video call will fix them.
This one-day course works through the life of a virtual team. Delegates look at choosing and setting up the team, agreeing ground rules and response times, running online meetings that are more than status updates, communicating clearly across channels, building trust and ownership, working across cultures and languages, managing results rather than activity, dealing with people who do not pull their weight, and choosing tools that suit the team.
South African realities are built in: back-up plans for power and connectivity failures, data costs for staff working from home, work chat groups that never go quiet, and POPIA when team members handle client information on personal devices. Delegates leave with a working charter for their own team.

Can the course itself be run online?
Yes, and for this topic it works well: delegates experience the meeting and communication techniques from the participant's side while they learn them.
How many people can attend?
From one delegate to a group of about 20. The price per delegate drops as the group grows – see the price table, or ask us for a quote.

No. This is a non-accredited short course and delegates receive a BOTI certificate of attendance.
How is this different from High Performance Teams Remote?

Can you run this course in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban?
Yes. We train on site at your offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and across South Africa, at a BOTI venue in Johannesburg, or live online so a team spread over several offices can attend together.
