Training Advice
5S Training Course – Workplace Organisation (2 days)
A cleaner, safer, better-organised work area where everyone can find what they need and problems show up early – and a plan to keep it that way.
Time spent searching for tools, files and stock, cluttered walkways, equipment nobody looks after and different rules on every shift all cost money and cause accidents. 5S training gives teams a simple, visual system for organising a workplace and keeping it organised. It is much more than a clean-up: done properly, 5S makes problems visible early, cuts waste and supports safe, consistent work.
Day one sets 5S in its Lean context – the forms of waste, the value stream, the 'hidden factory' of rework and searching, and how 5S creates a visual workplace – and plans the programme: observing a work area, choosing a pilot and agreeing a target vision. Day two goes onto the floor: sort with a red-tag process, set in order with visual storage and labelling, shine with cleaning as inspection, standardise with check sheets and visual controls, and sustain with audits and regular performance tracking.
Delegates practise each step in hands-on exercises and on a real area in their own workplace, and finish with a 5S rollout plan for their team. The method works in factories, warehouses, workshops, laboratories, clinics and offices.
