In a country such as our lovely South Africa accepting our past is a daily struggle. Our past is a very scary thought to many of us and it is one ridden with advantage of one community at the expense of a disadvantage of another. By showing other companies that you are sympathetic to the injustices of the past you also let them know that you are compliant with the logic and goals of the new government which aims to alleviate the injustices of the past. By increasing your BEE status you’ll not only be making peoples lives better, youll be helping to break a never-ending cycle. This cycle devastates our country and its fickle economy and directly hurts your business as this cycle also gives as a major GINI quotient which directly translates into a lack of foreign investment and consequent damage to our economy. You dont need to be an economist to be able to realize that increasing your BEE status is in the best interest of your own company as well as the companies you work with.
